Pantone's Color of the Year for 2025 was Mocha Mousse. I get it. It's comforting. Exciting? Not really. Here at XIXuberant, I don't think comfort and excitement are opposites. One can only truly express oneself when one feels at home.

My Story
The inspiration for XIXuberant came from my sabbatical in Europe. I had always appreciated the sinuous curves of Louis Marjorelle’s woodworks, the energizing patterns of William Morris prints, the approachability of Remy Macintosh’s designs, and the vivacity of Antonio Gaudi’s buildings. In Nancy, France I found the movement’s origins, and in Vienna, its apogee. I felt insprired, excitited, and EXUBERANT. Back in the USA,
I’ve fancied old, broken things ever since elementary school when I brought home a cracked transferware plate from someone’s garbage.
